....and, today, on October 13th, 2021, William Shatner (Star Trek's immortal "Captain Kirk") boldly went "where no other 90 year old man had gone before."
Mr. Shatner was quite overcome with his "out-of-this-world" experience, and stated: "I never want to get over this."
Who would have thought, over 50 years ago, that "Captain Kirk" would, one day in the distant future, travel amongst the stars.......(!!)
"Star Trek"* lives!

A historic day, indeed!
Like millions of others, I was glued to my TV screem earlier watching space history being made, with the splashdown of the "ARTEMIS". off the coast of San Diego.
\Back in the 60s, I was totally mesmerized by the APOLLO and GEMINI missions (TV coverage sponsored by "GULF"!)
NEVER ONCE missed a launch of a splashdown (if either of these took place on a school day, all regular work stopped so each class could watch space history unfolding live on a glittering black-and-white screen!
The legendary 19th centuey fantasy/science fiction/adventure writer Jules Verne even envisioned COAL-POWERED "rocket trains", carrying passengers to the Moon!!
Truly wonderful that a new generation of young people can experience the drama, excitement, and thrills my generation once experienced, so many years ago!
"WELCOME, HOME, ARTEMIS!"
