Regarding your two photo both buses were purchased brand new from GM.

By the way, the TDH-5106 number 404 was within the last group produced in 1959 with all going to companies in the New York City area.

The purchasing company was Blue and Grey Corporation of Neptune, NJ for Club Transportation.

NYCTA's last "Pattons"...........

As the end frew near for these tough, solid, rugged buses, were they still in service throughout the day, or, were they relegated to rush hour tripper runs only?

Here in "Joisey", for years, that was pretty much the case with the oldest buses, as their retirements neared, only coming "out to play" during peak periods.....

A circa-1963 postcard I have of the St. Geirge terminal shows close to rwo dozen buses, ALL either "Krmdens" or"Pattons"".

As I've reclled in the past, in the early and mid-60s, I only recall Old Looks and MACKS being on hand at theterminal.

Last Old Look on the "Isle of Staten" that we rode was to and f rom Richmondtown, circa-1969.

I still recall Mom and I taking a "Patton" to South Beach, circa-1962......a lifetime ago....

The last "hurrah", "Joiseyy"-style.............

By late 166/1967, the "old order" began to change, bus-wise, in my area of Hudson County.

The square window Old Looks began to disappear, followed by the MACKS, WHITES, and ACF-BRILLS, as well as the remaining "indy
prewar buses.

By 1969/1970, it was all "Gee-Em"...................

In the bus photo collection at nycsubway.org, there are NO photos of "Tee-Yay" MACKS in thier last years of "soivice"?

You MIGHT think there would be at least SOME included........
